David Van Horn (PPR Note Co.)
Dave Van Horn serves as President of PPR, a Note Company, managing several funds that buy, sell, and hold residential mortgages nationwide. Dave’s expertise is derived from over 25 years of residential and commercial real estate experience as a licensed realtor and a previously licensed life and annuity insurance agent, before moving on to raising capital for commercial real estate deals. He is an avid investor in notes and mortgages, as well as a long-term holder of multiple investment properties. In addition to facilitating mentorship through PPR Note Academy, Dave travels to many RE meetings and networking events as a national speaker on delinquent notes.
Craig Zappetti, Esq. (Saul Ewing)
As chair of the Securities Transactions and Regulations Practice, Craig Zappetti concentrates his practice on providing securities compliance counsel to private and public companies, representing venture capital funds and early stage companies in financing transactions, counseling both buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions, counseling investment advisers on regulatory compliance matters and providing general counsel to private and public companies regarding corporate matters.
Chris LaSpada, CPA (D’Amato & LaSpada LLC)
Chris LaSpada, CPA, CGMA is currently the managing member of D’Amato & LaSpada, LLC, a CPA firm located in Wilmington, Delaware. For over 17 years he has been providing tax preparation, tax planning, accounting and consulting services to small businesses and individuals.
Chris is a 1995 graduate of Saint Joseph’s University with a BS in Accounting. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to being on the board of Strategic Investor Alliance he is also on the board for Springhaven Country Club and has served as a member of the Federal Tax Committee for the PICPA.
Carl Fischer (CamaPlan)
Carl Fischer is a Cornell University graduate and third generation real estate developer. Carl began his investing career in the 1970’s when he was employed as a rocket scientist at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. He is presently one of the founders and principals of CAMA Self-Directed IRA, LLC (dba CamaPlan). CamaPlan is a national company headquartered in Blue Bell, PA.
Carl has implemented plans and managed over 20 million dollars in real estate transactions. His real estate investments include commercial and residential properties, including real property, notes, and mortgages. He has been able to increase his personal net worth and control many endeavors with the self-direction tools available. In addition to his hands-on experience, he has the opportunity to speak to many groups including real estate investors and brokers, CPAs, financial advisors, and mortgage professionals about the power and possibilities of IRA, 401(k), and qualified plan self-direction. He presently has investments in PA, NJ, NY, FL, NC, and WI.
Matt Hausman (Old Security Group)
Matt Hausman began helping small business owners and individuals in the early 1990’s with insurance and investment planning. Due to the confines of working for large institutions, Matt founded Old Security Group, an Independent Registered Investment Advisory Firm to legally and ethically act in a fiduciary capacity providing unbiased advice to both small business owners and individuals. Matt specializes in helping clients recognize where they are unknowingly and unnecessarily transferring away their wealth. His experience has been in Lending, Cash Flow Management, Investments, Insurance and Real Estate. This experience allows Matt to provide holistic advice to his clients. Matt has been asked to speak to various groups on topics ranging from Advanced Business Strategies to individual retirement and asset protection strategies. Matt holds a SEC Series 65 License and Life, Health and Title licenses in multiple states. He is also a member in good standing with the National Ethics Association.
